Randy, The legal interpretation by Justice McDonald gives me shutters. His argument can be a topic for every Constitutional Law class at U of Iowa and Drake.

A glaring irony with the Center for Intellectual Freedom. Under Justice McDonald’s literalist argument that the Iowa Constitution grants no passive "right to receive" information, students lack any constitutional basis to challenge state-mandated curriculum.

By dismantling the right to hear or choose information or classes, that legal framework aligns perfectly with House File 2800. It transforms higher education from an open marketplace of ideas into a state-directed pipeline, forcing students into a single, state-curated viewpoint at the new Center for Intellectual Freedom with no legal grounds to object to the source.
